Joan Miro was a talented painter, sculptor, and ceramist, born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893. His work was interpreted as surrealism, and went against conventional painting methods to create his own unique and eye-catching works of art. In 1920 he moved to Paris and developed his style: organic forms and flattened picture planes drawn with sharp lines. He passed away in 1983 having earned international acclaim and leaving behind his beautiful works of art to live on in his name.
